Some friends absolutely have to drive to Calais from Limousin tomorrow morning.

Is there please a kind person who can let me have an update on the roads in the north and to the Calais ports.

Also would they be better off taking the N104 round Paris as they usually do or via Chartres, Dreux ,Evreux and Rouen bearing in mind the narrower roads and sometimes one-lane roads on that route?

Thank you for your time to help.

Thank you - it was that personal experience on the roads that I was after but have looked at bison-fute also now.

hi
we drove from 87250 to calais on saturday, all fine. Took tunnel first thing sunday again fine. We experienced worst smow conditions in the nw of england, driving gently we arrived safely. I had a shovel and snow chains in the car if needed and had new michelin winter tyres on all 4 wheels. Always go prepared.

Son arrived today from Calais.
Biggest prob was getting off the ferry this morning as they had not gritted the ramps.
Took a long while to get out of Calais as only one lane open, but once on the motorway not bad.
Peripherique really busy but no real problems getting down here.
Bon Chance
